1. Tasks:

  • Support Development: Assist in the development of 3D CFD tools for external aerodynamics analysis, underhood and aerothermal analysis, and the optimization of liquid piping systems (oil, coolant), powertrain peripheral components, and sloshing simulations.​

  • Simulation Analysis: Analyze and interpret simulation results to provide actionable insights for design improvements.​

  • Collaboration: Work with design and engineering teams to integrate 3D CFD findings into the overall vehicle development process.​

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in CFD simulations.​

  • Testing Collaboration: Collaborate with the testing team to assist in definition of test instrumentation and procedures ​

  • Experimental Testing: Participate in experimental testing to validate simulation models and gather data for model refinement.​

  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports about simulation results and performance metrics to stakeholders.

 

2. Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide support for CFD matters within the virtual validation team.​

  • Simulation Accuracy: Assist in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of CFD simulations and results.​

  • Knowledge Maintenance: Stay informed about advancements in 3D CFD modeling techniques and tools.​

  • Model Alignment: Help ensure alignment between virtual models and experimental validation results.​

  • Virtual Validation Procedure Development: Support the development and execution of CFD simulation procedures.​

  • Documentation: Maintain high standards of documentation and reporting for all 3D CFD modeling activities.​

  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.

  • Methodology Selection: Assist in selecting and developing appropriate 3D CFD methodologies and tools.​

  • Technical Decisions: Support decision-making on CFD-related technical issues and solutions.​

  • Model Modifications: Contribute to approving modifications to 3D CFD models based on experimental validation results.​

  • Design Recommendations: Provide recommendations for design changes based on simulation outcomes to improve performance and efficiency.​

  • Task Prioritization: Help prioritize CFD tasks and projects based on project requirements and deadlines.

 

3. Required skills and competencies:

  • Technical Proficiency: Proven proficiency in CFD software. Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics. In-depth knowledge of external aerodynamics, underhood and aerothermal analysis, liquid piping systems and sloshing simulations and their applications in automotive engineering.​

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex simulation and experimental data and provide clear, actionable insights. Keen attention to detail.​

  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills to address modeling and management challenges.​

  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and reporting. Capability of conveying complex technical information clearly. Ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders​

  • Collaboration: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and experimental validation groups, demonstrating leadership and initiative.​

  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in performance models and validation processes.​

  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in thermal modeling and simulation technologies.
