Get in the driver's seat
As a Early Phase Quality Engineer, reporting directly to the Quality Projects Manager, you will act as a reference for customer point of view, within the high-performance and luxury vehicle development process. Operating at the intersection of Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, you will ensure that every vehicle fulfills the highest standards of craftsmanship, fit & finish, and premium material integration, from early digital concept phases through to Start of Production.
Where You’ll Make an Impact
-
Gap & Flush Planning: define whole-vehicle gap and flush plans, establishing vehicle shut and split lines to optimize visual harmony and technical feasibility.
-
Virtual & Section Validation: utilize CAD platforms to validate 2D typical sections and 3D digital models from early phases to production, guaranteeing robust packaging and flawless visual quality.
-
Class-A Surface Integrity: conduct geometric and aesthetic audits on Class-A surfaces to ensure continuity, zero reflection distortion, and visual refinement.
-
Luxury Materials & Finishes Selection: collaborate with Design and Materials Engineering to evaluate, select, and validate high-end automotive materials—such as structural and visual carbon fiber (autoclave/forged), machined/anodized aluminum, fine leathers and composite trims.
-
High-Precision Process Optimization: collaborate closely with Design, Engineering and Purchasing to ensure assembly and manufacturing processes (e.g., carbon weave alignment, leather stitching/wrapping tolerances) reliably deliver luxury craftsmanship in production.
-
Perceived Quality Benchmarking and target setting: perform competitive benchmarking on luxury and high-performance vehicles to set aggressive perceived quality targets for upcoming programs.
-
Vehicle Auditing: execute static and dynamic audits on pre-series and SOP vehicles, identifying and resolving perceived quality discrepancies across assemblies.
