Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the ESD/FOD Control Program in accordance with applicable industry standards and customer requirements
- Ensure compliance with ESD/FOD Control Program requirements across the site through regular monitoring, audits, and assessments
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional ESD/FOD activities and collaborate with departments to ensure consistent implementation of ESD/FOD practices
- Define, evaluate, approve, and standardize ESD control equipment and FOD control materials prior to procurement, installation, or operational use
- Perform ESD/FOD inspections, audits, and compliance assessments, identifying risks, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement
- Initiate, coordinate, and monitor corrective and preventive actions related to ESD/FOD compliance
- Act as the site's technical expert for ESD-sensitive devices (ESDS), Foreign Object Elimination (FOE), contamination control, and technical cleanliness
- Provide technical guidance and support during product design, manufacturing, packaging, shipping, and process development to ensure ESD/FOD compliance
- Develop, deliver, and coordinate ESD/FOD training, awareness programs, and certification activities in cooperation with Human Resources
- Support implementation of lean manufacturing principles, including 5S/6S, to improve housekeeping and FOD prevention
- Escalate ESD/FOD-related non-compliance, risks, or unsafe practices to management and recommend appropriate actions
- Maintain documentation, procedures, work instructions, and records related to the ESD/FOD Control Program
- Monitor industry developments, standards, technologies, and best practices, recommending improvements where appropriate
- Support internal and external audits and represent the ESD/FOD function during customer or certification audits
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or technical education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field
- Experience in ESD/FOD control, contamination control, quality assurance, manufacturing, or a similar technical environment
- Valid certification as an ESDA ESD Control Program Manager, IPC/IEC ESD Coordinator, or equivalent certification compliant with IEC 61340-5-1 or ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards
- Experience with contamination control and technical cleanliness standards such as VDA 19.1, VDA 19.2, or equivalent is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of ESD control principles, FOD prevention methodologies, and applicable industry standards
- Experience developing, implementing, and auditing ESD/FOD control programs is preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational and planning abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple departments
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, deliver training, and drive continuous improvement
- Good IT literacy (MS Office and documentation systems)
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
