This is a rare opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional, to join a fast growing, dynamic, prestige automotive company. To be instrumental in the continuing  development and implementation of a World Class Purchasing organisation.

You will be responsible for working in partnership with Business Managers and Finance, to deliver Services, Capital Acquisitions, and all requirements for the efficient running of all Business units, on-time to cost.

You will have a proven track record of driving change and delivering significant supply chain performance improvements in a multi-site, complex, design, and manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Head of Purchasing, you will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of suppliers and commodities to deliver services and products on-time, to cost, quality, and performance targets.

1. Responsibilities:

• Recruit, develop, and manage a team of purchasing professionals to deliver on service, capital acquisitions, and supply chain performance.

• Establish appropriate KPI’s to measure performance improvements and cascade objectives to your team.

• Put in place personnel development, and succession plans.

• Identify Suppliers capable of meeting our exacting standards for cost, quality, and performance.

• Lead the selection, nomination and contracting of new suppliers.

• Drive annual cost down programs across the supply chain.

• Drive annual supplier rationlisation programs to reduce supply base complexity and deliver improved cost performance.

• Develop and manage long term supplier relationships based on mutual success.

• Continue to develop and improve procurement processes and systems based on best in practice.

2. Required skills and competencies:

• Degree level education

• Experience of leading In-Direct Procurement in a complex manufacturing environment.

• Proven track record of delivering results in a high pressure, fast paced working environment.

• Strong analytical, reporting, and negotiation skills

• Ability to develop and foster relationships internally and externally

• Working knowledge and proficiency in ERP system and Microsoft Office

• Internal/external customer focused 

• Able to work independently and manage time effectively

• Results driven 

• Excellent skills in written & spoken English

• Driving license: B category
