Get in the driver's seat

As an Interior Panel Design Engineer, you will lead the design, development, validation, and delivery of premium interior systems and components from concept through to series production. Working across engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, prototype build, and supplier teams, you will ensure exceptional standards of performance, craftsmanship, quality, cost, timing, and manufacturability.

Where you’ll make an impact

• Lead the design and development of interior trim systems and components.
• Own system integration and ensure components meet design intent.
• Create and release 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, DFMEAs, DVPs, and technical specifications.
• Develop solutions balancing aesthetics, functionality, quality, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with suppliers and development partners to meet technical, quality, cost, and timing targets.
• Support prototype builds, validation activities, and issue resolution.
• Drive root cause analysis and robust corrective actions.
• Support vehicle manufacturing, launch activities, and production readiness.

What are your core components

• Experience in automotive R&D, product development, or vehicle engineering, ideally with interior trim or luxury interior components.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong CAD proficiency, preferably CATIA V5, CATIA V6, or 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Knowledge of surface modelling, including CATIA GSD.
• Experience with DFMEAs, DVPs, technical specifications, and BOMs.
• Understanding of vehicle systems, manufacturing processes, and DFMA principles.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
