We are seeking a motivated Junior Automotive Materials Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in the research, development, and testing of materials used in automotive applications, focusing on performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of material science and engineering principles, along with a passion for the automotive industry. You will support senior engineers in material selection, testing processes, and quality assurance, contributing to innovative solutions that enhance vehicle design and performance. Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Material Research: Assist in researching and identifying new materials and technologies suitable for automotive applications
- Material Testing: Conduct tests on various materials to evaluate their properties, performance, and suitability for specific automotive uses
- Data Analysis: Analyze test data and results, compiling reports that summarize findings and recommend material choices
- Collaboration with Design Teams: Work closely with design and engineering teams to provide material recommendations that align with project goals and specifications
- Quality Assurance: Support quality assurance processes by evaluating material properties and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of material properties, test methods, and performance results for reference and reporting.
- Supplier Coordination: Assist in the selection, evaluation and tracking of material master samples
- Support for Senior Engineers: Provide technical support to senior engineers in various projects, contributing to material selection, development, and problem-solving
