Get in the driver's seat

 

As a Passive Safety Performance Engineer, you will lead the integration of SRS components and the development and validation of occupant protection systems across both test rigs and full vehicle applications.

 

Working across multiple engineering domains, you will coordinate simulation and physical testing activities, support cross-functional teams throughout the entire product development lifecycle, and ensure robust safety performance and compliance with global safety regulations from concept to homologation.

Where you'll make an impact

 

  • Define and deliver occupant and pedestrian safety targets for ultra-high-performance, low-volume vehicles.
  • Plan, coordinate, and analyze results from virtual simulations and physical crash testing.
  • Oversee subsystem and full vehicle testing, including airbag and interior static deployments, trolley and biomechanical sled testing, and full vehicle crash tests.
  • Drive end-to-end physical DVP execution while controlling testing scope, logistics, cost, and spares.
  • Interpret crash test and CAE results and provide data-driven recommendations for design improvements.
  • Own crashworthiness performance and lead ACU calibration strategy, ensuring robust restraint system integration.
  • Resolve safety-related issues, support technical decision-making, and ensure timely delivery of validated corrective actions.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate technical documentation and support homologation readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Support the Chief Project Engineer in technical decision-making.

Salary range:  €37 500 – €57 500 gross per year (depending on experience)
