As a Powertrain Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and calibrating powertrain software requirements to drive the success of our advanced hypercar propulsion technologies.
Working across Powertrain Controls and Software Architecture teams, you will create detailed MATLAB Simulink models and define vehicle software features, ensuring robust, high-performance, and validated control systems for propulsion purposes.

Where you’ll make an impact 

  • Decompose powertrain and controls software requirements and translate them into MATLAB Simulink models.
  • Test and calibrate existing functionalities of VCU, TCU, and ECM on both simulations and physical vehicles. 
  • Familiarize with the existing Vehicle Control Unit application software and its architecture. 
  • Develop new control prototypes (Simulink) and define interfaces for internal and supplier software components.
  • Support and supervise the software implementation department and collaborate with external teams.

 

 

What are your core components 

  • Experience as a controls or software engineer within the Automotive or Motorsport industry.
  • Good knowledge of powertrain controls principles (e.g., Hybrid Torque Structure, coordination, Engine/Transmission control, Drivability).
  • Proficiency in MATLAB Simulink, MATLAB GUI, and custom tool creation (Excel/MATLAB).
  • Knowledge of standard software development and calibration tools (e.g., ETAS Inca, Vector CANape).
  • Understanding of embedded control systems and mainstream automotive ECU hardware.
  • Familiarity with automotive development processes (ISO 26262 or IEC 61508) and requirements capturing tools (Jira/Jama).
  • Strong team player with the ability to identify and solve complex engineering problems.

Salary range: €37500 - 57500 gross per year (depending on experience)
