Bugatti Rimac, part of the Rimac Group, brings together two forces that have redefined the automotive world. By combining Rimac’s cutting-edge electric performance and innovation with Bugatti’s 110+ year legacy of crafting iconic hypercars, we are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in automotive engineering.

Our team is at the core of this, we work with passion, aim for excellence, and take ownership of what we do. We grow together, pioneer solutions, and deliver vehicles that set new standards.

As a System Engineer, you will define how the next generation of hypercars will work, feel and look like.
Working across the Electrical Engineering and Software department, you will define key vehicle functionality requirements, ensuring the performance, safety and other aspects of the car will satisfy the highest standards of excellence.

You will love this role if you are technically proficient, curious and brave hands on engineer.

Where you’ll make an impact

  • Benchmarking systems and technologies to guide evolution of the vehicle E/E architecture and platform.
  • Defining system boundaries and interfaces; create clear interface diagrams and data flows.
  • Capturing, structure and maintain system and sub‑system requirements in dedicated tools (e.g. DOORS, Jama, Polarion or similar).
  • Analyzing customer and stakeholder requirements, derive technical requirements and maintain traceability across all levels.
  • Developing system and function concepts using MBSE methods (use‑case diagrams, sequence diagrams, context diagrams, logical architecture).
  • Specifying and review component specifications for ECUs and other hardware within the E/E architecture.
  • Considering safety, diagnostics and degradation behavior when defining functions and interfaces (aligned with ISO 26262 and ASPICE where relevant).
  • Supporting implementation teams (HW, SW, test, calibration) with clear requirements, acceptance criteria and interface definitions.
  • Supporting system integration and verification in lab and vehicle: review test cases, analyze logs, and help debug system‑level issues.
  • Maintaining technical documentation: architecture overviews, interface control documents, requirement specifications and change logs.

What are your core components

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive or Systems Engineering (or similar).
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems and components (EV powertrain, ICE powertrain, energy management, chassis, body, infotainment, diagnostics, etc.).
  • Experience with requirements engineering and MBSE tools/methods (Jama, DOORS, Polarion, SysML/UML, V‑model, traceability)
  • Good knowledge of automotive E/E architecture and ECU‑based systems.
  • Proficiency with automotive communication protocols and tools: CAN, LIN (FlexRay/Ethernet is a plus), Vector/ETAS toolchains.
  • Ability to read and review electrical schematics, ECU pinouts and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with system‑level debugging using logs, traces and measurement tools (e.g. CANoe, CANape, oscilloscopes, data loggers).

Nice to have ones

  • Basic knowledge of functional safety and automotive standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE) is an advantage.
  • Experience in automotive Cybersecurity
  • Experience in an automotive OEM, Tier 1, motorsport or low volume performance EV / Hybrid programmes.
  • Familiarity with embedded software basics (C/C++ or model based design with Matlab/Simulink) and how software maps to system requirements.
  • Background in control systems or vehicle dynamics and their implementation in ECUs.
  • Experience with data analysis (Python, Matlab or similar) for test and vehicle data.

Fuel Package

  • Private healthcare and mental wellbeing support
  • Flexible working hours and up to 12 days of remote work per month
  • Transportation allowance and subsidized meals
