Bugatti Rimac, part of the Rimac Group, brings together two forces that have redefined the automotive world. By combining Rimac’s cutting-edge electric performance and innovation with Bugatti’s 110+ year legacy of crafting iconic hypercars, we are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in automotive engineering.

Our team is at the core of this, we work with passion, aim for excellence, and take ownership of what we do. We grow together, pioneer solutions, and deliver vehicles that set new standards.

Get in the driver's seat

As a Junior Vehicle Dynamics Controls Engineer, you will develop and calibrate active-safety and performance-driving control functions following a rigorous Model-Based Development process in MATLAB/Simulink. Working across VDC, Powertrain, and Brake Controls teams, you will translate physics and control theory into embedded software, ensuring every function is validated from simulation to production vehicle.

You will love this role if ... you are equally at home deriving a slip controller on a whiteboard and debugging it live on a hypercar at the proving ground.

Where you’ll make an impact

  • Develop and tune vehicle dynamics control algorithms (ABS, TCS, torque vectoring, launch control) in MATLAB/Simulink following a full MBD workflow
  • Execute MIL, SIL, and HIL validation cycles and document results against functional requirements
  • Participate in proving-ground test campaigns across Europe, instrumenting vehicles and acquiring on-board measurement data
  • Perform ECU software calibration on vehicle — define base calibration, iterate on data, and release parameter sets
  • Process and visualise measurement data in MATLAB or Python; build post-processing tools to automate evaluation workflows
  • Author function design specifications, test reports, and calibration documentation; support cross-team integration activities

What are your core components

  • Strong vehicle dynamics background: longitudinal/lateral dynamics, tyre–road interaction, ABS/TCS/ESC theory, and torque vectoring
  • Proficient MATLAB and Simulink: clean model architecture, fixed-step solvers, MIL/SIL testing, and control systems theory (PID, state-space, observers)
  • Python scripting for data analysis and automation; Git version control
  • Structured engineering mindset: ISO 26262 awareness, technical documentation, root-cause problem-solving
  • BSc/MSc in Automotive, Mechanical, or Control Systems Engineering — Formula Student or motorsport controls experience is a strong plus
  • ECU calibration tools (INCA, CANape) are a plus — full training provided on the job

Fuel Package

  • Private healthcare and mental wellbeing support
  • Flexible working hours and up to 12 days of remote work per month
  • Transportation allowance and subsidized meals
  • Company performance based bonus and holidays bonus
  • Minimum 25 days of holidays from day one
  • Internal education programs and opportunities to grow
  • A supportive, collaborative, and high-performing environment where people succeed together
  • Team events, company gatherings, and on-site perks (coffee, fruit, relaxation zones)
  • Family support (kindergarten subsidies, children’s events and gifts)
  • Dog-friendly office and partner discounts
