Get in the driver's seat
As a XiL SW Developer Engineer you will deliver robust, high-quality control software developed autonomously using Model-Based Design Ensure end-to-end consistency
Working across powertrain/EE/Vehicle Controls, you will guarantee scalable and reusable SW architecture for future projects. Enable internal ownership of SW and calibration workflows, reducing supplier dependency ensuring continuous improvements of XiL SW development processes.

Where you’ll make an impact
Core Software Development :
- Design and develop control-oriented software modules for powertrain and vehicle functions using MATLAB/Simulink
- Generate, test and validate auto-coded C software (Model-Based Development workflow)
- Define and maintain software architecture for XiL environments (MiL / SiL / HiL integration)
- Develop custom models and simulation environments to support control algorithm validation
XiL & Toolchain :
- Develop and maintain XiL toolchain (MiL, SiL, HiL) for validation and development activities. Deploy and integrate real-time models on HiL systems
- Configure and manage simulation frameworks and automation pipelines
- Interface with HiL platforms (dSPACE, Speedgoat, etc.) and associated toolchains System & Integration Activities:
- Translate high-level requirements into detailed SW and system specifications
What are your core components
- Model-Based Development (MBD) using MATLAB/Simulink (mandatory)
- Development of control algorithms and SW functions for automotive applications
- Auto-code generation (Embedded C) and code validation workflows
- Software architecture for control systems
- Real-time systems and constraints
- Simulation and modeling techniques applied to automotive systems
- Control theory fundamentals (feedback control, state machines, signal processing)
Experience with (strong plus):
- Python/Simulink for automation, scripting and toolchain integration
- Calibration and data analysis tools (e.g. INCA, CANape)
- CI/CD pipelines applied to embedded SW development
- FMI/FMU and co-simulation frameworks
- Analytical mindset with strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Curiosity and drive to innovate and improve methodologies
