By combining Rimac’s cutting-edge electric performance and innovation with Bugatti’s 110+ year legacy of crafting iconic hypercars, we are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in automotive engineering.
Our team is at the core of this, we work with passion, aim for excellence, and take ownership of what we do. We grow together, pioneer solutions, and deliver vehicles that set new standards.
Get in the driver's seat
As a XiL Test Engineer, you will support the setup, integration, testing, and validation of electronic control units within existing XiL environments, including MiL, SiL, and HiL platforms.
Working across software development, controls, systems engineering, ECU integration, and vehicle testing teams, you will help ensure that embedded software and vehicle functions are properly integrated, tested, and validated before deployment to prototype vehicles.
You will contribute to building and maintaining integrations on existing XiL test benches, supporting ECU flashing, configuration, diagnostics, communication setup, test execution, result analysis, and issue investigation.
You will love this role if you enjoy hands-on technical work, like understanding how ECUs interact with vehicle systems, and want to grow in a fast-moving environment where software, hardware, and vehicle functions come together.
Where you'll make an impact
- Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of ECU-based XiL test environments.
- Integrate ECUs into existing MiL, SiL, and HiL platforms, ensuring correct communication, diagnostics, flashing, and signal mapping.
- Build, adapt, and maintain integrations on existing XiL benches to support new software releases, vehicle functions, and ECU variants.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and validation tests on embedded software and vehicle control systems.
- Develop, update, and maintain test cases and test procedures based on system and software requirements.
- Support the configuration of test benches, simulation models, I/O interfaces, communication networks, and diagnostic services.
- Analyze test results, identify anomalies, and support root cause analysis together with software, controls, and system engineers.
- Perform ECU flashing, coding, parameterization, and basic troubleshooting during test preparation and execution.
- Support automation of recurring test activities and contribute to improving test efficiency, repeatability, and coverage.
- Maintain clear documentation of test setups, integration steps, test results, defects, and validation status.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of XiL workflows, tools, test environments, and integration processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that issues found in XiL are properly tracked, understood, and resolved.
