1. Requirements:

  • plan, implement, manage, monitor performance, and improve all torque-related equipment and systems used in manufacturing
  • Defining requirements and procedures for internal nomination of suitable  automated screwdriver tools and equipment
  • Establishing and conducting equipment management procedures
  • Define and document standards for linear and non-linear processes related to torqued assembly systems
  • Manage or assist in strategic decisions with the purchasing of torque-related equipment.
  • Building up communication and relationship with lead suppliers for automated screwdriver tools
  • Assist Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering with new product integration and launch, vehicle component changes, and vehicle option integration to the manufacturing process.
  • Assist in training of our employees to ensure a safe and efficient maintenance department.

 

2. Skills: 

  • Work primarily with the Manufacturing Engineering team, but also support Design Engineers, Quality Control and Production, on complete manufacturing process definition, investment list creation and implementation of equipment.
  • Act as the point of contact for torque standard procedures and best practices regarding tightening programs, settings, and parameters for assembly systems; serve as liaison between design team counterparts and sustaining teams on the shop floor in collaboration with process development engineers from Manufacturing Engineering team.
  • Lead torque specification reviews and updates based on change actions (or deviations) with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment of factory actual tightening specifications with the latest engineering-released specifications; audit effectiveness of torque controls
  • Leverage hardware, software, and systematic solutions to control the quality of torqued assembly systems
  • Define and document standards for linear and non-linear processes related to torqued assembly systems
