We are looking for an experienced Aerodynamics Engineer who will be a part of the Bugatti Rimac Aero-Thermal Team within the Vehicle Integration department, helping us to improve and broaden our capabilities in development of vehicle aerodynamics. 

 

Aerodynamics Team is a multi-disciplinary group of enthusiastic engineers working in a cross-functional environment between Research&Development and Design, with responsibility in external aerodynamics and aeroacoustics, active aerodynamic systems design and strategy, underhood and brakes thermal management as well as the cabin thermal comfort. 

 

Within the role of Aerodynamics engineer, along the strong grasp in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics, we are searching for an engineer with automotive experience in numerical and experimental methods in both aerodynamics and aerothermal domain. 

 

Your responsibility will range from collecting of the input data, preparing of the simulation models and performing CFD simulations, to planning and analyzing the numerical and experimental data followed by creation of a new design ideas (CAD). 

You should be very proactive, capable to communicate, create and analyze, in fast-paced dynamic environment with minimal supervision. 

 
For this position you must be passionate about engineering, physics, but also you should be passionate about cars, technology and solving complex engineering problems. 
 

1. Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze inputs from all engineering areas and Design 

  • Plan iterative development and optimization, both numerical and experimental 

  • Prepare and clean-up CAD geometry (3DX, Catia, HyperWorks) 

  • Prepare and maintain CFD models and scripts (OpenFOAM, PowerFlow) 

  • Perform volume discretization and CFD simulations (external and internal aerodynamics) 

  • Collect and analyze numerical and experimental data  

  • Write technical reports, prepare presentations, organize meetings and communicate results 

  • Contribute to improvements in targets, concepts, design, strategy, tools, processes and methodologies 

  • Closely collaborate with all engineering areas and Design 

  • Support and mentor less experienced engineers 

 

2. Requirements:

  • More than 3 years of experience in automotive industry in field of aerodynamics (numerical and experimental methods) 

  • Experience in CFD analysis: aerodynamics and aeroacoustics, aerothermal analysis (underhood thermal management, brakes cooling, cabin thermal comfort) 

  • A strong grasp of Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer. 

  • Good communication and organization skills 

  • Good knowledge of English (written and spoken) 

  • Commit to project plan and deliverables 

 

3. Considered as an advantage:

  • Master’s degree or above in Aerodynamics, Aerospace or other relevant engineering discipline 

  • Automotive or Motorsport experience in development of high-performance vehicles 

  • Experience with CAD software 3D Experience/Catia 

  • Applied experience in OpenFOAM and PowerFlow 

  • Experience in HyperMesh 

  • Good programming skills and previous experience with C++, MATLAB, Python, Linux
