1. Tasks:


  • Perform complex structural design analysis using CAE software  ​

  • Build from scratch Finite Element Models (FEM) ​

  • Setup the run and debug the FEM, according to physical tests ​

  • Post Process results of FEM runs ​

  • Perform analysis of vehicle structures related to implicit and explicit analysis using HyperWorks solvers (RADIOSS, OPTISTRUCT) ​

  • Propose changes to the CAD development team to achieve functional targets ​

  • Propose necessary design improvements based on FE simulations results ​

  • Build, run and post process FE Models supporting concept design ​

  • Support the product development plan ​

  • Deliver data to be used by the Management in program decisions ​

  • Write Test Procedures and Targets to prevent physical issues ​

  • Reproduce in FEM physical events ​

  • Support design of Body Structure components on time into production according to target cost, package, mass, functionality, and quality ​

  • Support de-bug activities for current and future Body Structure systems and parts, ensuring corrective actions are implemented ​

  • Develop and ensure cross-functionality with other R&D departments to achieve vehicle requirements ​

  • Engage with the product development process to understand the impact of design/engineering decisions ​

  • Evaluate competitor benchmark information to improve concept definition in early project phase ​

  • Support definition of methodology and release of standards related to durability and reliability

  • Manage and follow up on CAE service suppliers for outsourced jobs


2. Responsibilites:


  • Responsible for the on-time performance structural design analysis using Finite Element software across all Bugatti Rimac programs​

  • Ensure that all work carried out follows company design, safety, quality, environmental compliance, and procedural standards

  • Follow up on CAE service suppliers


3. Required skills and competencies:


  • Engineering Degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent

  • Previous experience with ALTAIR HyperWorks tools

  • Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken

  • Knowledge of CATIA v5, v6 & 3DX, is a plus 

  • Excellent team player and communicator, able to work effectively with cross functional teams

  • Strong problem-solving skills, along with an ability to manage a varied workload, to tight deadlines 

  • Relevant written and verbal communication skills
