1. Tasks:

• Maintain and support de-bug activities for current programs, ensuring corrective actions are defined, validated, and implemented ​
• Engage with main external suppliers, manage costs and timings, and ensure program milestones are met, including evaluation of RFQ responses to influence management decisions ​
• Develop and ensure cross-functionality with other R&D departments to achieve vehicle requirements​
• Engage with the product development process to understand the impact of design/engineering decisions​
• Establish regular design reviews with cross-functional teams​
• Support Functional Safety and Cyber Security, Intellectual properties, and patents within the R&D team​
• Collaborative definition of methodology and release of standards related to durability and reliability with analysis team​

• Evaluate competitor benchmark information to improve concept definition in the early project phase​

• Support functions (such as Service, Marketing, …) with the resolution of issues that may emerge on legacy programs or customer’s vehicles which may require engineering feedback and/or validation​

• Support platform Body plan​ and Platform roadmap definition

2. Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Body Engineering’s issues management and timely resolutions of current Bugatti-Rimac production programs as well as support of issues arising from legacy programs. ​
• Be the first point of contact for Body Engineering on the relevant programs​
• Main reference figure for Body Engineering components for feasibility, functionality, and resolution of technical issues​
• Lead an X-functional team of engineers and external partners to deliver changes and updates to Body Engineering components on time into production according to target cost, package, mass, functionality, and quality​

3. Required skills and competencies:
 

• Previous proven experience in the same or similar position within an automotive or automotive components supplier on Body Individualization design, preferably on Sports (Supercar and Hypercar) and low-volume car​
• Engineering Degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent​
• Sound engineering judgment and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving (knowledge of specific problem-solving methodologies would be a plus)​
• Experience in all relevant vehicle legislation and certification requirements for related automotive components and systems​
• Experience in delivering Body systems components from early design stage to series production. At least one complete project developed from the concept phase to production ramp-up​
• Proven experience in tracking and planning of technical subjects, tooling processes and variable/investment costs​
• In-depth Body systems knowledge, Materials selection, Material treatments, Location strategy, Fit and Finish, Assembly strategies, all Technology availability, Perceived and component quality, Parts lifetime stability, S&R, Benchmarking, state of the art,…​
• High experience with CAD modeling software (CATIA V6 preferable)
• Excellent team player and communicator, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams​
• Ability to organize multiple technical inputs, summarize and present to the top management​
• Strong problem-solving skills, along with an ability to manage a varied workload, to tight deadlines​
• Comfortable working with little supervision to deliver results​
