1. Tasks:

 

Regular tasks​:

  • Execute the cross-functional integration of innovative Control Systems and capturing the cross-functional Electrics, Electronics and Embedded Software implications as reference of the software and hardware (SW & HW) integrator of the Control Systems department. ​

  • Define the Aerodynamics, Chassis, Powertrain SW requirements through the integration of appropriate control and diagnostic strategies and through Engineering Specification via target cascade processes. ​

  • Cascade the E/E architecture and SW requirements that deliver optimal Controls Systems performance. 

 

Occasional tasks:

  • Support the development and delivery of embedded software through virtual and physical Proof-Of-Concept of the proposed solutions and subsequent industrialization.  ​

  • Support the definition of the Control Systems Roadmap for autonomy-related requirements and autonomy-enabled features relevant to the current and future platform portfolio​

 

2. Responsibilities:

 

  • The implementation of Basic Software (BSW) and Application Software (ASW) development processes according to the ISO26262 Functional Safety standards and managing the delivery the associated documentation and validation needs. ​

  • The complete AUTOSAR-based software platform architectural design and its integration with the Application Software Components (SWC), orchestrating the verification and validation of Control Systems at system and vehicle level. 

  • Weekly meeting with Lead of Control System Simulation and Integration Testing for alignment and shared decisions agreement.​

  • Support the Team Lead in setting and managing objectives & targets of the team. 

 

3. Required skills and competencies:

 

  •  Broad engineering experience within the Automotive/Motorsport industry and proven record in delivering innovative solutions, preferably for Active Chassis and/or Hybrid/EV Powertrain.   

  • Proficiency with AUTOSAR Classic architecture configuration, with modification of legacy (non-AUTOSAR) application software to AUTOSAR-based and with AUTOSAR toolchain (preferably Vector-based)​

  • Experience and thorough understanding of mainstream automotive HW and SW development processes and full awareness of Legislative Compliance requirements (US Certification and EU Homologation)​

  • Strong knowledge of microcontrollers and related peripherals management with the standard debugging tools with preference for Lauterbach Trace32 desirable.​

  • Experience with SPI, CAN, CANFD, LIN, ETHERNET, UDS, and XCP communication protocols.​

  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 standard and Automotive Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE21434)​

  • Broad and hands-on experience of FMEA & FuSa processes. ​

  • Fully committed to apply the V-process and proficient in using simulation tools and advanced analysis techniques for data acquisition and post-processing.  ​

  • Strong time management, accuracy, diligence, ability to balance multiple tasks. ​

  •  At least 2 years Automotive/Motorsport industry experience, ideally both OEM and Tier 1, in developing embedded controls systems software.

  • Engineering Degree in appropriate discipline e.g. Electronics.  ​

  • Full EU driving license, ideally Proving Ground B permit.

 

4. Considered as a plus:

 

  • Thorough of Vehicle Performance and attributes in areas such Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, etc. ​

  • Understanding of requirements capture process and tools such as Polarion/Doors/Jama/Jira. ​

  • Systems-Engineering thinking and comprehension of interdependencies, experience with relevant tools, e.g., SysML, and understanding of multidisciplinary simulation tools.  ​

  • Basic experience with fast hardware prototyping with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) ​

  • Good knowledge of the most common scripting languages like Python, Perl and version-control systems with preference for Git
