Tasks:

 

Regular tasks:

 

  • Develop complete vehicle specification required as the input for the HV system design on the vehicle
  • Support the PWT team in the definition of high voltage management system and architectural design on hybrid and electric vehicles
  • Create SYS.3 requirements specification for the Charging System - AC & DC Charging | US, EU, China, Japan markets
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Be involved in conformance and interoperability activities for the charging system
  • Create Test Strategy and DVP plan for Charging System according to IEC 61851, ISO 15118, CHAdeMO and GBT standards
  • Create DVP plan for EE High Voltage relevant activities
  • Support the definition of high voltage management system and architectural design on hybrid and electric vehicles.
  • Support Active and Passive safety mechanism definition for the complete high voltage system on the vehicle
  • Support product development stages for DC/DC and OBC HV components
  • Support Functional Safety and Cybersecurity activities
  • Perform electrical simulations for the high voltage system e.g. E-Spice, Simulink
  • Support the development of Crash strategy for the given vehicle program

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with suppliers of electrical and electronic components to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality parts. Reviewing supplier proposals, conducting technical evaluations, and providing feedback to improve component performance and integration
  • Plan and execute integration testing activities to verify the proper functioning of electrical and electronic systems together with the lead engineer
  • Developing test plans, coordinating test activities, analyzing test results, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during testing on the bench and prototype vehicles
  • Escalate topics to superior
  • Integration of electrical and electronic systems within the vehicle, ensuring proper functionality, compatibility, and seamless operation
  • Work with cross-functional teams to analyze and understand the requirements of different vehicle systems
  • Document the electrical and electronic integration processes, system designs, test results, and issue resolutions
  • Creating technical reports, design specifications, and contributing to vehicle development documentation

 

Required skills and competencies:

 

  • Bachelor or higher degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering or comparable discipline
  • Strong knowledge of handling all types of electrical signals and automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN FD, LIN, MOST, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet …)
  • High level of knowledge for ISO 15118, IEC 61581, CHAdeMO and GBT charging standards
  • Product development experience, Experience in Vehicle Communication Bus Systems and Network Architectures, Data Acquisition and Post-Processing
  • Good understanding of Vector tools, Matlab/Simulink, Rhapsody, …
  • Previous experience with vehicle commissining and issue management
  • Good knowledge of ISO 26262
  • Very good knowledge in using the tools CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, CAN King, Wireshark, PCAN …
  • Team player
  • High analytical approach to work

  • Very good knowledge of English language (both written and spoken)
