1. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the IVI development for current and future projects from the concept phase to the serial production.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for the IVI in current and future projects, including:
    • Infotainment Control Units.
    • Displays.
    • Wiring.
    • Additional devices (like knobs).
    • Software.
    • Etc.
  • Define the hardware architecture and interfaces of the IVI system in current and future projects, at vehicle level:
    • Link technology between the ICU and screens.
    • Communication technology with other vehicle components.
    • Audio connection standards.
    • Etc.
  • Identify and define the set of technical features and requirements that are needed for current and future IVI systems, including wireless technologies support, expandability, standards compliance, etc.
  • Identify and define the set of software features to be developed and deployed in the IVI system.
  • Capture and manage high level requirements from the stakeholder.
  • Break down high level requirements into functional and technical requirements that can be used for the development of both hardware and software solutions.
  • Coordinate both the hardware and software development with the selected suppliers.
  • Gather from the suppliers all the documentation required by homologation and production.
  • Prepare all the documentation needed from vehicle perspective, required for homologation and production.
  • Collaborate with other departments to guarantee that the IVI integrates with the rest of the systems of the vehicle.


2. Requirements:

  • Good understanding of physical electrical architectures and interconnection systems.
  • Good understanding of automotive communication protocols.
  • Bachelor or higher Degree (EE, Mechatronics or equivalent education)
  • Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Highly analytical approach to work.


3. Ideal candidate:

  • Passionate about technological trends.
  • Experience in automotive or electric vehicles development
  • Experience in communication network development
  • Experience with Vector tools, Matlab/Simulink, Python, Jama or similar requirements tracking tools
  • Understanding of diagnostic protocols like UDS and OBD
  • Previous hands-on experience with Embedded HW or SW development
  • Familiarity with ISO26262
