1. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Design team and work closely with the R&D on laser welding technologies.
  • Responsibility for laser welding and brazing systems implementation, commissioning and programming of such.
  • Responsible for weld implementation for future model launches and process improvement.
  • Responsible for continues process optimization in current production environment
  • Understand weld schedule development.
  • Implement weld control plans and requirements
  • Lead and assist production in all quality and process related weld topics and issues.
  • Responsible for welding process improvement
  • Performs root cause analysis with emphasis on eliminating problems through design analysis, ergonomic issues, and machine/welding/assembly process improvements including equipment/materials purchasing requirements
  • Create procedures and documentation for the production process.
  • Communicate and work with suppliers and internal cross-functional departments.
  • Support of application and utilization of laser welding machines.  
  • Machines capacity planning on project level.
  • Coordinate continuous improvement measures to ensure that project lessons learnt are captured and knowledge is transferred across the team and organization.
  • Ensure that all equipment, processes and methodologies comply with applicable standards, company policy and all Health and Safety Laws

 

2. Requirements

  • Experienced in the field of laser welding (preferably e-mobility).
  • Knowledge of lasers and laser systems.
  • Knowledge of CAD software, preferably CATIA V5 or 3DEXPERIENCE.
  • Experience in operating and programming laser welding machines.
  • Systematic approach to work.
  • Good skills in written English.
  • Team player, independent worker, developed sense of responsibility, fast learner, hands on.
  • Highly developed communication skills.

 

3. Considered as an advantage

  • EWE/IWE diploma according to IIW rules or
  • EWT/IWT diploma according to IIW rules
  • Experience in WPS/pWPS preparation
  • Experience in WPQR and welding operator certification
