Manufacturing Composite Engineer - Tooling Development (m/f)

We are currently looking for a Composites Engineer. The role of a Composites Engineer requires a proactive and methodical engineer who will work on defining the all the process steps, procedures and documentation needed to create the optimum composite part to meet the requirements.

 

1. Responsibilities and work tasks

  • Developing tools and jigs
  • Developing ply kits
  • Participation in the development of 3D models of new products
  • Participation in technological process development
  • Communicating with other departments and supporting Production with the manufacturing process
  • Validating measurement reports
  • Providing technical documentation to Engineering, Suppliers, Production, and Quality as well as other stakeholders
  • Uploading and updating documentation into information system
  • Validating first parts (ply kits, trimmed parts)
  • Other short-term tasks according to the needs of the work process  

 

2. Requirements

  • Advanced Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks or Catia)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Good of composites manufacturing processes
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken) is essential
  • Communicative team player
  • Dependable and methodical (strict attention to detail)
  • Creative thinker
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-organized and goal-oriented
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in the relevant field of study
  • At least 3 year of professional experience

 

3. Considered as an advantage

  • Experience in the composites industry
  • Experience working with composites manufacturing preparations
  • Experience working with composites design in CATIA
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance process, tools and methodologies
  • Understanding of automotive regulations related to the field
