1. Responsibilities

  • DFM (Design for Manufacturing) analysis to achieve efficiency, speed, and high rates of production
  • Part optimization, identify relevant technologies which offers more design alternatives for part production.
  • Identify and implement robust features or tolerance stacks
  • Identify new technologies to improve manufacturing process
  • Identify potential production technology issues and formulate solutions with Design
  • Part routing - create procedures and documentation for the manufacturing process
  • Input all necessary Data in ERP for production and tracking
  • Defining timescale related to part production which include developing and production of tools, molds, jigs  buying and implementing new equipment.
  • PFMEA - Defining Risks and challenges associated with part production and their impacts on manufacturing process
  • Capacity planning on project level
  • Specifies special tooling to be used in machining (and other) components.
  • Typical assignments may include but are not limited to:
  • Drive process, quality, and optimization improvements
  • Development and implementation of new processes
  • Perform cost analyses and drive cost reductions
  • Provide workshop support and develop processes for new products
  • Perform capacity studies and provide solutions for equipment that is over capacity
  • Create and modify BOMs, routings, work instructions, set up sheets, procedures, and other documentation
  • Other assignments as assigned by the supervisor

 

2. Requirements

  • Main area of expertise should be CNC Machining
  • Experience in CAD software, preferably CATIA V5 or 3DX
  • GD&T knowledge
  • Thorough knowledge of MasterCAM or similar CAM software
  • Strong knowledge of measuring methods
  • Good knowledge of English language
  • Great teamwork skills
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Developed sense of responsibility

 

3.  Considered as an advantage

  • Knowledge of different technologies;
    •  Stamping, Injection Molding, Die Casting. Thermoforming, 3D printing
  • Experience in operating and programming CNC machines
