1. Responsibilities:

  • Create high performance, reliable and scalable powertrain system architectures by adapting existing platforms, evolving existing products, and innovating advanced industry-leading solutions
  • Development of electric powertrain system and component level requirements based on the high-level vehicle targets
  • Perform detailed studies and analysis of the powertrain system (including the mechanical, thermal, electrical, and controls architecture) with emphasis on performance evaluation, design optimization, component selection/sizing, EE architectures, and homologation requirements
  • Definition of functional requirements for powertrain system/components and documenting it in the requirements tool
  • Cross functionality interface between suppliers, external and internal stakeholders including management, manufacturing, quality, homologation, testing, etc.
  • Research and lead the selection process of the potential system/component-level suppliers
  • Managing of the supplier activities during the whole product lifecycle (from initial requirements and concept studies to the final targets sign-off and start of production)
  • Tracking the powertrain performance throughout the whole vehicle and component development lifecycle
  • Managing the whole system DVP from the test list definition to the final sign-off on the system and vehicle level
  • Leading the team of engineers working on the electric powertrain system integration


2. Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in automotive/mechanical/electrical engineering
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in powertrain systems/components development at an automotive Tier1 or OEM
  • An expert/high level of technical knowledge and experience of powertrain component/system product development cycle including definition, design, packaging, technology, machining, production, and testing from concept to series
  • High experience with core EV Powertrain architectures and topologies
  • Methodical working skills with knowledge of system engineering tools
  • Experience in powertrain and/or vehicle DV&V program executions
  • Fluent English in spoken and written form
  • Highly Skilled in organization, supplier management, and project/resource planning
  • Multi-faceted skillset and the ability to multi-task effectively on different systems/components and assignments
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and goals with clear communication skills individually or in a team
  • Experience in CAD packages, BoM, and program management


3. Considered as an advantage:

  • Knowledge of thermal and performance simulation tools like GT-Suite, Matlab/Simulink
  • Understanding of powertrain standards for automotive applications, including Homologation requirements, ISO 26262, Autosar, ASPICE, Communication protocols, etc.
  • Experience with handling different suppliers for core EV systems/components
  • Knowledge of NVH attributes and MBD simulation tools from a system perspective
