1. Main responsibilities:

  • Ability to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles (IFRS, local GAAP)
  • Analysing financial information and summarizing financial status - timely preparation of statistical reports, financial statements, periodic and yearly closings, various internal financial reports for the Management Board and other employees
  • Direct external audits of financial statements to ensure compliance
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns
  • Producing accounting reports and presenting their results - HNB, FINA
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  • Provide input into department’s goal setting process
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls


2. Qualifications:

  • BSc/Ba or MA in accounting, finance or relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience working in accounting, with thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and in-depth understanding of accounting principles (IFRS, local GAAP)
  • Holder of ‘certified accountant’ qualification or ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA would be a strong preference
  • Accounting experience within a company focused on production and, product development would be a big plus
  • Experience working for an international company would be considered an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g. Odoo, Infor), and advanced MS Office skills
  • Combination of excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to prepare and analyse financial reports
  • Experience with managing a small team of accountants would be a plus
  • Ambitious, dynamic, and self-driven person able to work independently, aware of the “big picture”
  • Team player striving to develop other team members, that encourages knowledge transfer
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
