We are currently looking for a Test Systems Engineer to join our team. The main responsibility of the Test Systems Engineer is to ensure testbeds are maintained and set up correctly, they are also responsible to provide advanced support to test engineers in the area of automation systems, which will include dSPACE, Matlab/Simulink, and AVL PUMA, XION, PUMA2SHARE, CAMEO and CONCERTO. Other support includes the implementation of full vehicle simulation models to run HiL. 


1. Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with test engineers and providing support where necessary about the test they are conducting and the requirement or the development activity the customer is requesting

  • System Engineer is required to interpret test requirements and provide advanced testing solutions, either with new test functions, reporting techniques, or equipment

  • Ensure the optimal running of the facility by supporting the test engineers

  • Investigate Advanced uses of Automation Systems and conduction Improvement Programs
  • Work to Standard processes and procedures
  • Create/Improve Processes and procedures where necessary
  • Ensure system fidelity and create metrics to monitor the system performance
  • Create a new test methodology to support testing and ensure high accuracy in data
  • Determine Equipment required to perform tests
  • Design Automation and Control strategies  
  • Setup DAQ Systems were different from standard
  • Program / Design PLC Systems
  • Design Safety Concepts with respect to HRA
  • Maintain Test Database and ensure ease of use
    • Database setup
    • Create Standard Concerto Work Environments
    • Provide Offline calculations

2. Work:

  • Deliver demanding complex solutions in a timely manner to support the test activities
  • Will be required to debug code, Simulink models, Automotive Networks and Device Communications to ensure test can run appropriately
  • Develop systems that allow test engineers to create and run tests without too much rework of the overall configuration
  • Training and support for development engineers in the use of AVL Concerto systems to ensure the best use of data processing software and accelerate development
  • Database maintenance
  • Planning of tasks and prioritizing according to which would provide the most benefit.
  • Execution of planned development of automation systems and creation of documentation such as user guides and reports.
  • Supporting Test Engineers in their job roles when it comes to creating tests.
  • Track the calibration and maintenance of hardware and software
