Rimac Technology are rapidly innovating both technology and business models to increase the pace of de-carbonisation across multiple industries. Rimac Technology have created an exciting new business unit to commercialise a highly promising new technology across both the mobility and energy sectors. 
This new business unit is looking for a Mechanical Integration Engineer to work closely with a team of multi-disciplinary experts to develop battery and power electronics concepts for new programs. The main responsibilities include leading the mechanical integration of components into complex battery systems, creating design concepts and initial 3D models and then working closely with our Mechanical development team to bring the solutions into fruition. This will further extend to managing and delivering to system and components level requirements, optimisation of design through iteration with our simulation team, and managing test programs to validate the technology.  
This role will also include working as part of a dynamic team to help develop and execute our vision, mission & values and concretizing our objective to do measurable social and environmental good.  


The specific job responsibilities will depend upon the active project and may include but are not limited to: 
•    Leading the development of components for HV batteries and power electronics across a diverse range of markets 
•    Developing design solutions from a clean sheet – including initial 3D models 
•    Working closely with the Mechanical Development engineers to further develop and produce the components 
•    Component verification plans and testing methods 
•    Working on the development of thermal systems for electronics and/or on safety systems for HV batteries and power electronics 
•    Technical communication with suppliers and other internal stakeholders 
•    Exploring novel battery and power electronics solutions 
•    Lead initiatives to do environmental and social good, and integrate this into actionable projects, company policies and culture 
•    Visit national and international trade fairs to observe market trends and represent our company 

2. Requirements
•    Masters or PhD in Engineering (Mechanical or electrical). 
•    2 years+ of experience in EV or energy industry, and/or other related engineering backgrounds 
•    You are passionate about electrification and de-carbonization 
•    You seek to improve our future by bringing cutting-the-edge technology to market 
•    You have prior knowledge of CAD software (preferably CATIA) 
•    You have experience with HV batteries or electrical systems 
•    You are a strong communicator, both verbally and in written form 
•    You can lead, inspire, and motivate a team exploring new business ventures 
•    Willing to travel domestically and internationally, as required.

•    You are familiar with thermal systems and/or HV battery safety systems 
•    You have experience with system testing and verification
