Responsibilities 

 

  • Defining validation and verification plans for energy storage systems and their sub-systems, and aligning to requirements and certification standards. 

  • Project management of tests conducted in-house and externally.  

  • Physically setting up and running testing.  

  • Compiling and analyzing test results to distill key findings, feeding them back into the design.  

  • Detailing test plans, instrumentation and schemes and leading test-inclined design activities.

  • Feeding test and build plans into project planning and budgeting.  

  • Support DFMEA activities.  

  • Outlining and implementing risk mitigation plans to re-risk product development.  

  • Lead initiatives to do environmental and social good, and integrate this into actionable projects, company policies and culture.  

  • Visit national and international trade fairs to present, observe market trends and represent our company.  

  • Explore novel solutions to reduce cost, improve performance and meet ESG goals. 

  • Conduct root cause analysis to contain issues. 

  • Lead initiatives to do environmental and social good, and integrate this into actionable projects, company policies and culture. 

  • Visit national and international trade fairs to present, observe market trends and represent our company. 

 

 

Requirements 

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or electrical). 

  • 3 years+ of experience in testing or validation of electric vehicle, battery storage, the energy industry, and/or other related engineering backgrounds. 

  • Prior experience with mechanical and functional/performance testing of battery systems, thermal systems, structures or power electronic systems. 

  • Strong knowledge of testing procedures, instrumentation and test set-ups. 

  • Strong experience in compiling DVP/V&V plans. 

  • Familiarity with IEC, BS, UL etc. standards for testing and compliance. 

  • A hands-on approach and a keenness to be close to the action. 

  • A desire to improve our future by bringing cutting-the-edge technology to market. 

  • Strong communication, both verbally and in written form. 

  • You can lead, inspire, and motivate a team exploring new business ventures. 

  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
