Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspection of automotive components using 3D scanning systems and related metrology equipment.
• Execute 3D scanning activities for prototype, production and supplier parts.
• Compare scanned data against CAD models and engineering requirements.
• Analyze scan results and generate dimensional inspection and deviation reports.
• Create and maintain inspection programs for 3D scanning equipment.
• Evaluate dimensional conformity of components according to technical drawings, GD&T requirements and customer specifications.
• Support root cause investigations related to dimensional and geometric non-conformities.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supplier Quality teams to resolve product issues.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and measurement reports within the quality management system.
• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance and handling of scanning and metrology equipment.
• Support continuous improvement activities related to inspection methods, measurement accuracy and process efficiency.
• Follow all safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Authority to stop inspection activities when equipment malfunction, safety concerns or product quality risks are identified.

Requirements

• Secondary school degree (SSS) in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, CNC Technology, Automotive Technology or similar) or higher professional education (VŠS) in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in industrial 3D scanning and dimensional inspection.
• Experience working with optical scanning systems, structured light scanners, laser scanners or similar metrology equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, CAD models and engineering specifications.
• Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience analyzing scan data and evaluating dimensional deviations.
• Good spatial awareness and ability to visualize complex components in 3D.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical reporting.
• Good command of English language for technical documentation and communication.
• High attention to detail and analytical mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with ZEISS ScanBox, Creaform, or similar 3D metrology systems.
• Experience in the automotive industry, especially with precision-machined components and assemblies.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software.
• Experience with reverse engineering and CAD-to-part comparison.
• Understanding of quality standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and automotive core tools.
• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
• Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gauge R&R.
