The Battery Systems Engineering team requires Engineers with experience to lead the technical development of a customer focussed battery project. The successful candidate will be responsible to deliver the technical solution of a functional, safe, and compliant Battery System. Responsibilities

  • Lead the Engineering team with responsibility for overall product design, development, and delivery to the project timeline
  • Analyse customer requirements and communicate system requirements to HW, SW, Testing, and mechanical development
  • Define architecture on system, mech., HW, and SW, level and define interfaces
  • Support derivation of the technical/functional safety concept
  • Provide CAD data (technical specifications) and simulation model to the engineering team
  • Complete System and Design reviews, DFMEA, risk analysis, and release of the design
  • Build and test HV Prototype battery systems and support the industrialization of the concept
  • Develop and support verification, validation and integration strategy, and testing from the prototype phase through to homologation
  • Conduct root cause analysis to contain issues
  • Prioritize, analyze the impact, implement, and document change requests  


Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace or Systems Engineering 
  • At least 5 years of experience in automotive systems or industrial experience within a complex multidisciplinary product environment. Experience with HV Battery systems and knowledge of system design with Lithium based battery cell
  • Understanding of Systems / Requirement Engineering & Tools (e.g IBM DOORS, JAMA)
  • Experience of PLM systems (3Dx, TeamCentre, Creo) - Knowledge of project life cycle management from early R&D to series production
  • Experience in product design, knowledge of production process and best practices
  • Experience in safe working practices around HV systems, legislative requirements, and homologation standards
  • Experience with MS office tools
