For our Zagreb team, we are seeking a highly skilled Body Systems Manager to lead the design and development of exterior system components for our automotive products. This role requires strong technical expertise, managerial capabilities, and experience in working with ultralow volume automotive production. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external suppliers, driving the development of innovative and reliable exterior systems.The role will cover the following exterior systems:

• Lighting
• Glazing
• Window Regulators
• Exterior Mirrors
• Sealing
• Roof Systems
• Active Aero

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and engineering design of exterior system components
• Coordinate communication with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components and solutions
• Work closely with cross-functional teams such as the Design Studio, Simulation Department, and Testing Department
• Design and conduct validation testing and analysis of products on both component and car levels
• Prepare prototype parts for testing
• Ensure timely product releases for series production with all necessary documentation
• Define product and component targets in alignment with overall project goals
• Perform DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and ensure the integration of systems into the vehicle
• Design components and systems that meet specified cost, weight, and performance targets
• Ensure designs are completed within the project timeline
• Guarantee manufacturability, quality, homologation, and performance of the exterior systems
• Provide technical drawings and production documentation per company standards
• Execute and refine component validation plans based on test results
• Define safety characteristics, functionalities, and requirements for designed components and systems
• Take ownership of the Bill of Materials (BOM) for systems under your responsibility

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Education: Minimum BSc or BEng in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
• Expertise in surface modeling (GSD module in CATIA)
• Experience in CAD software, preferably CATIA V5 or V6
• Proficiency in MS Office tools
• Good knowledge of vehicle components and functionalities
• Experience with various manufacturing technologies
• Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work
• Self-motivated and self-organized work ethic
• Ability to work under pressure and collaboratively within teams
• Basic knowledge of electronics and electrical engineering
• Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
