As a Corporate Development Associate focused on Strategic Projects, you will be a high-caliber member of the Corporate Development department, working within a dynamic team with a high degree of Executive exposure. You will work cross-functionally and with top-notch consultancies on a variety of strategic projects including but not limited to portfolio strategy, value creation, target operating model, etc.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Independently, or with minimal direction, lead workstreams of large and complex Executive-sponsored projects, aimed at setting strategic directions for the business and improving business performance
  • Lead low-complexity strategic projects, with independent management of cross-functional project teams
  • Develop collateral, analysis, and recommendations for the Executives and senior leadership to support decision-making
  • Subject to experience and aptitude, there can be an opportunity to work across other projects within the department including but not limited to M&A, Joint Venture, Strategic Partnerships, Corporate Governance, and Shareholder Matters
  • Support other departments in specific assessments and presentation of results; providing critical insights of both quantitative and qualitative nature e.g. business case development, forecasting, risk and opportunity assessment, etc
  • Engage with and co-ordinate cross-functional teams at varied levels to align on key objectives and project schedule
  • Establish meeting cadence, governance, and reporting aimed to drive workstreams and projects to a successful completion
  • Track actions and milestones diligently, maintain robust oversight, and ensure projects are delivered on time and budget to the required quality
  • Manage project documents, including project plans, status reports, and other project-related materials
  • Support external advisor selection, onboarding, and management process

 

Requirements

 

  • Up to 5 years of relevant experience in but not limited to consulting, strategy, and corporate development in a comparable, fast-paced environment
  • Experience with financial modeling and/or strategy assessment is desirable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in making presentations and communicating with senior executives
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to multi-task and respond to shifting priorities on various projects
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking and strong analytical abilities
  • High attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work product
  • Must be a self-starter with a high level of drive and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
