We are searching for enthusiastic and experienced Cost Engineers to join us in our office in Zagreb. Our mission is to become one of the leading hypercar manufacturers and you as Cost Engineer will help us to achieve this by ensuring our vehicle projects meet our high profitability expectations. You will work closely with Engineering, Programme Management, and Purchasing Departments to help set and achieve material cost & investment targets. You will be a highly valued member of the Finance Team, hierarhically reporting to the Cost Engineering Team Lead.

- Cost Engineer - Interiors
- Cost Engineer - Chassis & Powertrain

 

1. In your new role you will: 

  • Support in creation of vehicle targets based on your knowledge of parts and tooling
  • Assist Purchasing in understanding of supplier gaps to target
  • Create a benchmark DB of target costs for Bugatti Rimac to use on future hypercar projects
  • Contribute expertise to Make vs. Buy business cases
  • Work on Design to Cost with Engineering in the concept phase
  • Develop in-house knowledge on engineering expertise and rates by country/region
  • Propose Cost Reduction ideas, creating a business case for the implementation
  • Help to develop and implement a new cost management process, ensuring that projects are delivered to target and profitability is achieved
  • Be at the fore front of industry developments to ensure Bugatti Rimac Group is exploiting new technology and manufacturing techniques to help optimise profitability

 

2. What do you need to be successful? 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an automotive tier 1-2 Supplier or OEM
  • Exteriors knowledge: Monocoque, Body Panels, Exterior Trims, Carbon Fiber Trimes, Aero Trims, Frames, Underbody, Lighting
  • Interiors knowledge: Seats, Dashboard, Cockpit, Carpets, Interior Trims, Carbon Fiber Trims, Steering Wheel, Fine Finishing and Switches
  • Chassis & Powertrain knowledge: Engine, Engine Systems, HV Battery, e-PWT, Suspension Modules, Brakes and Tyres
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering or similar technical degrees
  • Experience in ´should cost´ calculation and familiarity with project development 
  • Cost Controlling/Cost Engineering experience within a company focused on manufacturing and physical product development would be a big plus
  • Proven record in advanced Excel, VBA and/or Access knowledge would be beneficial
  • Cost Estimation SW knowledge would be a plus (LeanCOST, PCM Siemens, Costdata)
  • CAD knowledge (3DX is a plus)
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, process and structuring skills
  • Fluent in English
