We are searching for an enthusiastic Customs Officer to join us in our Zagreb office. Our mission is to become one of the leading hypercar manufacturers and you as a Customs Officer will help us to do this by ensuring that our cross-border operations and customs procedures comply with regulations. Moreover, you will be advising team members from all departments on all customs aspects that Bugatti Rimac d.o.o. deals with.

 

1. In your new role you will:

  • Ensure smooth and compliant customs and international trade operations
  • Definition, implementation, constant monitoring and updating of customs procedures
  • Provide transparency on the conditions of country-specific import and export transactions of goods and services
  • Develop the internal procedures and instruments necessary for the operational management of customs activities
  • Prepare/verify customs declarations and ensure their accuracy
  • Guarantee the correct classification of goods/services as well as their declared origin
  • Act as a central contact for all customs requests and processes
  • Obtain and maintain the status of authorized economic operator (AEO)
  • Engage in regular communications between operations service providers of the company, customs authorities and other regulation bodies
  • Implement internal security procedures to reduce the risk of non-compliance and initiate corrective solutions if necessary
  • Manage and monitor customs operations in accordance with regulations
  • Follow the latest development of customs regulations, raise awareness and train relevant business departments on the latest customs procedures  
  • Prepare and submit regular Intrastat reports and liaise with the relevant business departments to gather data
  • Conduct periodic freight rates reviews and benchmarking to ensure market competitive freight rates and optimized customs costs

 

2. What do you need to be successful?

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration/ Transport & Logistics
  • Preferably > 5 years’ experience within customs activities as a manager
  • Proven track record in managing international sea freight, customs and product classification
  • International experience in a customs and logistics function in a multi-national corporate
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in communication and negotiations with international business partners and authorities
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-changing environment and execute with urgency
  • Excellent judgement, logical-analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Communicative and self-driven person
  • Hands on mentality
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
