Responsibilities

• Select the correct equipment and methods according to the requirements for the dispensing process (including plasma treatment technology and vision systems used for quality control)​
• Responsible for dispensing and plasma treatment technology – working cross-functionally with Engineering and Manufacturing in order to develop the best manufacturing process​
• Liaising with internal departments (Engineering, Quality, Plant/Production, Sample Shop, and others) as well as external stakeholders (such as suppliers).​
• Suggest & implement best practice processes, equipment set up and machines being led by cost optimization, project time plan and technical advantages and/or limitations​
• Evaluating the impact of engineering changes and deviations, with the option of the implementation of the same on new or existing equipment and process setups ​
• Develop, analyse and enhance manufacturing methods/technologies to assist production requirements​
• Depending on the technology, researching the latest suppliers. technology achievements, equipment upgrades ​
• Balancing work across numerous projects whilst maintaining individual vision of the priorities and timings​
• Organize and plan a feasibility study related to process implementation, requirements, and cycle time achievement in cooperation with the Sample Shop and Engineering ​
• Define dispensing technique, based on product requirement, to achieve higher bonding quality, lower cycle times, improved accuracy and lower material consumption​
• Quality Analysis of adhesives and potting joints during process development and station commissioning, including plasma treatment process.​
• Support Failure Root Cause Analysis of the process through technical support on QRQC , ​
• Perform dispensing and plasma trials to find the best technologies available for the dispensing process​
• FAT, SAT and commissioning activities of dispensing and plasma treatment stations – ability to work at supplier sites internationally.​
• Other duties as assigned​
• Spend time on the production floor analysing the production process, which includes adjusting the robot trajectory for dispensing, checking jigs and tools for correct operation, adjusting vision systems based on previous data, etc.​
• Support prototype builds (machine operation).​

Requirements

• Fluent English
• Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality
• The ability to communicate clearly
• The ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines
• Associate degree/certification to production technologies, engineering or similar
• Experience in MS Office
• Experience in CAD software, preferably CATIA
• Experience in high volume automotive production
• Experience in component and or battery assembly
• Experience in selecting and implementing of high volume production equipment
• Associate degree/certification to manufacturing process, engineering or similar
