Responsibilities: 

• Selecting appropriate components considering factors like voltage ratings, current carrying capacities, temperature ranges, and automotive safety standards.  
• Designing the electrical distribution system for high-voltage applications, ensuring proper insulation, shielding, and safety features to mitigate the risks associated with high voltage systems.  
• Integrating the electrical distribution system with the battery management system (BMS), the vehicle's overall electronics architecture, and thermal management systems for the battery pack.  
• Identifying and resolving issues related to the electrical distribution system during the development, testing, and vehicle integration phases.  
• Component owner and is accountable for designing electrical schematics and integrating electrical distribution systems tailored specifically for HV battery systems  
• Creating detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams, schematics, specifications, test plans, and validation reports, to document the design, development, and testing processes.  
• Staying updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and automotive standards to continuously improve the design, performance, and efficiency of automotive battery systems. Implementing lessons learned from previous projects to enhance future designs and processes. 
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, system engineers, software engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of the electrical distribution system into the battery system. 

Requirements: 

• Knowledge of automotive safety standards and regulations, such as ISO 26262 for functional safety, and automotive EMC standards. 
• Experience in electrical integration. 
• Good comprehension of EDS manufacturing technologies and processes. 
• Adeptness in supplier management. 
• Prospective abilities in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication. 
• Proficiency in MS Office. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organisational skills. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
