Responsibilities

  • Process and record incoming invoices for goods, fixed assets, small inventory, and IFRS 16-related transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely posting.
  • Maintain accurate fixed asset and small inventory registers, ensuring completeness, consistency, and data integrity.
  • Manage the full fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, transfers, disposals, impairments, retirements, and depreciation calculations.
  • Monitor and account for CAPEX transactions, ensuring correct classification and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable, interim accounts, and fixed asset balances.
  • Review accounting entries, identify discrepancies, and execute timely corrections.
  • Prepare, post, and process manual journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies through effective coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities in accordance with established timelines and procedures.
  • Support inventory and fixed asset counts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper financial reporting.
  • Assist with year-end audit activities by preparing and providing required documentation and explanations to auditors.
  • Communicate and collaborate with external consultants, tax authorities, financial institutions, and auditors when required.
  • Participate in ERP system enhancements, testing activities, and implementation of process improvements.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Logistics, Controlling, and other departments to ensure smooth transaction processing and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit requirements while staying informed of legislative changes.
  • Contribute to ESG reporting by providing accurate financial data and supporting sustainability-related reporting requirements.
  • Perform additional accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within fixed assets.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting requirements, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 16, is considered a strong advantage.
  • Experience with depreciation calculations, CAPEX accounting, asset lifecycle management, and account reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and experience participating in system enhancements or testing activities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues effectively.
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines, particularly during month-end and year-end closing periods.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external parties.
  • Good understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization.
