Main responsibilities

 

  • Registration of new customers in the ERP system
  • Managing of customer master data
  • Credit limit management
  • Preparation of yearly invoicing plan
  • Creating sales orders and invoicing to customers (goods, services, projects deliverables)
  • Intercompany invoicing
  • Communication with other departments and customers to ensure correct delivery of goods and invoicing process
  • Analyzing postings to ensure correct invoicing process
  • Tracking the progress of created sales orders and delivery dates
  • Uploading of invoices to customer portals
  • Monitoring of due dates and open receivables
  • Receive and manage complaints about delivered goods and issued invoices
  • Preparation of credit notes
  • Managing dunning process and doubtful receivables
  • Reconciliations with customers
  • Reporting about invoicing status to Key Account Managers
  • Monthly and yearly involvement in period closing activities
  • Other operational tasks within accounting department
  • Ability to assess and oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles (IFRS, local GAAP)
  • Evaluate IFRS/ local GAAP accounting questions and provide recommendations
  • Direct cooperation with external audit of financial statements in order to ensure compliance
  • Recommend modifications, optimize, and standardize accounting systems and processes
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Requirements

 

  • BSc/Ba or MA in accounting, finance, or related areas
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting
  • Accounting experience within a company focused on the production and product development would be a big plus
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g. Infor) and advanced MS Office skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and high level of dedication and resilience
  • Ambitious, dynamic, and self-driven person with excellent high school and academic qualifications
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
