We are seeking a senior HR professional to lead and drive the HR function for our new organization. As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for the entire HR lifecycle, including HR business partnering, recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and HR operations for our diverse team across the UK and Croatia. You will be the sole HR professional in the organization, managing all aspects of HR independently. As the business grows, there is potential to build and expand the HR team based on organizational needs.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the HR function from the ground up, working closely with senior leadership to ensure that we attract, retain, and develop top talent in a rapidly evolving business environment.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Operate as the single point of contact for all HR-related matters, managing every aspect of the HR function independently
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all HR functions, aligning HR initiatives with business goals and driving organizational success
  • Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to senior leadership, providing advice on organizational development, retention, performance management, change management, and employee engagement
  • Execute end-to-end recruitment processes for both UK and Croatian teams, ensuring effective sourcing strategies and high-quality candidates, and manage workforce planning across locations
  • Develop and implement Learning & Development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth
  • Develop and implement a competitive compensation and benefits strategy, conducting regular market research to ensure alignment with industry standards
  • Implement and refine HR systems, processes, and tools, ensuring they are efficient, reliable, and scalable as the company grows
  • Manage employee relations, address queries, and ensure compliance with legal and corporate policies
  • Create and maintain an inclusive and positive workplace culture across multiple locations

 

Requirements

 

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Manager in a senior role, ideally in an international setting
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, policies, and employment laws, particularly in the UK and/or Croatia, depending on the location of work
  • Experience in handling a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, learning and development, employee relations, and HR operations
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, growing business environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are a plus (eg. Croatian)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring junior HR staff is preferred
