Responsibilities 

• Defining validation and verification plans for energy storage systems and their sub-systems, and aligning to requirements and certification standards 
• Project management of tests conducted in-house and externally  
• Physically setting up and running testing  
• Compiling and analyzing test results to distill key findings, feeding them back into the design  
• Detailing test plans, instrumentation and schemes and leading test-inclined design activities  
• Feeding test and build plans into project planning and budgeting  
• Support DFMEA activities  
• Outlining and implementing risk mitigation plans to re-risk product development  
• Lead initiatives to do environmental and social good, and integrate this into actionable projects, company policies and culture  
• Visit national and international trade fairs to present, observe market trends and represent our company  
• Explore novel solutions to reduce cost, improve performance and meet ESG goals 
• Conduct root cause analysis to contain issues

Requirements 

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or electrical) 
• 3 years+ of experience in testing or validation of electric vehicle, battery storage, the energy industry, and/or other related engineering backgrounds 
• Prior experience with mechanical and functional/performance testing of battery systems, thermal systems, structures or power electronic systems 
• Strong knowledge of testing procedures, instrumentation and test set-ups 
• Strong experience in compiling DVP/V&V plans 
• Familiarity with IEC, BS, UL etc. standards for testing and compliance 
• A hands-on approach and a keenness to be close to the action 
• A desire to improve our future by bringing cutting-the-edge technology to market 
• Strong communication, both verbally and in written form
• You can lead, inspire, and motivate a team exploring new business ventures 
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
