This is a rare opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional, to join a fast growing, dynamic, prestige automotive company, to develop and build a World Class Purchasing organisation.

You will be responsible for working in partnership with your peers in Engineering, Quality & Finance to deliver new projects on time, to cost, quality, and performance targets.

With a proven track record of driving change and delivering significant supply chain performance improvements in a complex manufacturing environment.

Working as part of a cross functional project team

1. Responsibilities:

• Recruit, develop, and manage a team of purchasing professionals to deliver project objectives.

• Establish appropriate KPI’s to measure performance improvements and cascade objectives to your team.

• Put in place personnel development, and succession plans.

• Together with Finance and Engineering establish business case targets for future programs.

• Identify Tier 1 suppliers capable of meeting our exacting standards for cost, quality, and delivery performance.

• Lead the selection, nomination and contracting of new suppliers.

• Develop and manage long term supplier relationships based on mutual success.

• Work in partnership with your cross functional peers to deliver each project on time, to business case targets for Development, Tooling, Cost, Quality and Performance.

• Continue to develop and improve procurement processes and systems based on best in practice.

2. Required skills and competencies:

• Degree level education

• Experience in Automotive OEM or Tier 1 Supplier environment.

• Proven track record of delivering results in a high pressure, fast paced working environment.

• Strong analytical, reporting, and negotiation skills

• Ability to develop and foster relationships internally and externally

• Working knowledge and proficiency in ERP system and Microsoft Office

• Internal/external customer focused 

• Able to work independently and manage time effectively

• Results driven 

• Excellent skills in written & spoken English

• Driving license: B category
