We are looking for a power electronics manager who is familiar with the process of developing complex systems from the idea to the finished product. A hands-on approach and an excellent understanding of technological processes involved in developing and producing powertrain systems are mandatory. 

The ideal candidate has a strong passion for cars, technology and engineering with a background in power electronics and team management and has worked on additional projects within the industry. 

 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead development of next-generation power electronics products based on SiC MOSFET or GaN technologies 
  • Build and lead a team to deliver high-performance, high-reliability power electronics products 
  • Responsible for the success of the team in meeting development targets and project milestones  
  • Drive close communication and collaboration with mechanical engineeringsimulations, EHW and ESW teams 
  • Work with the powertrain system team to capture relevant requirements and ensure these are satisfied with electrical and mechanical design 
  • Coordinate with test and validation team to ensure the product is fully validated and identified issues resolved 
  • Conduct design reviews and deliver products in time to meet all milestones 
  • Work closely with business development, quality management, manufacturing, and supply chain to bring the product into mass production 
  • Plan the roadmap for future products and introduce new technology as appropriate 
  • Support the development of long-term product strategy 
  • Investment planning for the equipment and testing facilities 
  • Define technical resource requirements for successful project execution 
  • Responsible for continually growing team capabilities through career development and onboarding of new hires 
  • Alignment between all team-members and promote cross-functional teamwork 
  • Be available for the team for consultations and decisions 
  • Actively evaluates individual employee performance and career development needs 

 

 

Requirements 

  • Master’s Degree in electrical engineering 
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in power electronics 
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of engineering group management experience 
  • In-depth knowledge of topologies and state-of-the-art power electronics for automotive 
  • Strong understanding of power devices, including WBG semiconductors  
  • Experience supervising other engineering tasks (assembly drawings, PCB layout, software development, validation testing) 
  • Model-based systems engineering experience to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities 
  • Experience with ISO 26262 – the Functional Safety (FuSastandard 
  • Fluent English in spoken and written form 
  • Highly skilled in organization and planning 
  • Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment 
  • Proactive attitude toward problems and challenges 
  • A team player who is both flexible and creative in their approach to problem-solving 

 

Considered as an advantage: 

  • Knowledge of MAT
  • LAB/Simulink and CAD packages 
  • Experience with EMC and appropriate design methodologies to satisfy product requirements 
  • Knowledge of engineering standards for automotive application 
  • Familiar with circuit simulation tools 
  • PCBs and final product testing experience
