This is a rare opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional, to join a fast growing, dynamic, prestige automotive company. To be instrumental in the continuing development and implementation of a World Class Purchasing organisation.

You will be responsible for working in partnership with your peers in Production and Finance, to deliver Supply Chain performance for the smooth operation of all manufacturing facilities.

You will have a proven track record of driving change and delivering significant supply chain performance improvements in a multi-site, manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Head of Purchasing, you will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of suppliers to deliver products on-time, to cost, quality, and performance targets.

1. Responsibilities:

• Recruit, develop, and manage a team of purchasing professionals, to develop and manage the supply chain to ensure the smooth running of all production facilities and to drive continuous improvement.

• Establish appropriate KPI’s to measure performance improvements and cascade objectives to your team.

• Put in place personnel development, and succession plans.

• Drive annual cost down programs across the supply chain.

• Drive annual supplier rationlisation programs to reduce supply base complexity and deliver improved cost performance.

• Manage EOL (End of Life) supply contracts to ensure continued, uninterrupted supply, for aftermarket and customer care throughout the life of vehicle ownership.

• Develop and manage long term supplier relationships based on mutual success.

• Continue to develop and improve procurement processes and systems based on best in practice.

2. Required skills and competencies: 

• Degree level education

• Experience of leading Series Production Procurement in a complex manufacturing environment.

• Proven track record of delivering results in a high pressure, fast paced working environment.

• Strong analytical, reporting, and negotiation skills

• Ability to develop and foster relationships internally and externally

• Working knowledge and proficiency in ERP system and Microsoft Office

• Internal/external customer focused 

• Able to work independently and manage time effectively

• Results driven 

• Excellent skills in written & spoken English

• Driving license: B category
