System Engineer - Battery Management System (m/f)

This position requires the employee to work in the Technology part of Rimac Automobili. You will be a part of the engineering team working on the development of hardware components for the Rimac Automobili vehicles and OEM projects.
1. Responsibilities
- Development of the product on the system level for Battery Management System (BMS) projects using V-model approach
- Analysing and organizing stakeholder requirements
- Deriving system requirements from stakeholder requirements
- Evaluating system requirements and architecture with external customers and internal HW and SW architects
- Allocating system requirements to the elements of the system and defining their interfaces and dynamic behaviour (including electrical signals, communication protocols, etc.)
- Creation and visualization of overall system architecture from EE perspective
- Developing system integration, verification and validation test strategy in the cooperation with EE Testing Team, Mechanical Engineering Team, and Project Development Leads
- Ensuring consistency and bidirectional traceability between stakeholder requirements, system requirements, system architectural design, and relevant tests (in tools like Jama or DOORS)
- Close cooperation with customers in terms of component/system design, integration, and testing on vehicle level
- Respecting processes for System and Software Engineering, Functional Safety, Cybersecurity and ASPICE where applicable
- Benchmarking relevant systems
2. Requirements
- Previous experience in system, HW and/or SW level design of one or more products that include BMS, Traction Inverters, In-Vehicle Infotainment, HV DCDC-s or other various ECUs
- Experience in eliciting high-level requirements from stakeholder requirements with varying levels of technical proficiency
- Experience in developing and understanding high-level system requirements and system architecture
- Ability to further developing requirements with highly technical engineering staff
- Ability to handle all types of electrical signals, low voltage, high voltage, power networks, and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, etc.)
- Bachelor or higher degree (Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent education)
- Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
- Creative problem solver
- Highly analytical approach to work
3. Ideal Candidate
- Experience in automotive, electric vehicles, aerospace or/and BMS development
- Experience with Jama, DOORS or similar requirements tracking tools
- Familiarity with ISO26262, ASPICE, System and Software Engineering, Cybersecurity in respect to the systems where it is applicable
- Previous hands-on experience with Embedded HW or SW development
- Familiarity with Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANdela, CANoe, etc.)
